Dr. Festus Fadeyi is the Chairman and Managing Director of Pan Ocean Oil Corporation (Nigeria) Limited, an indigenous oil and gas exploration and production company. Under the guidance of the astute technocrat and visionary leader, Pan Ocean gained many firsts-

Pan Ocean became the first exploration and production company to stop gas flaring in Nigeria and West Africa
In Nigeria, Pan Ocean became the first company to meet the conditions of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) on the clean development mechanism (CDM) and gained formal registration of its gas processing plant project in February 2009
Pan Ocean is the first exploration and production company in the African sub-region to sell carbon credits. The first verification submission to UNFCCC being June 2011
Pan Ocean ahead of many of its contemporaries was the first to sign the Gas Sale Aggregation Agreement (GSAA) with the Federal Government of Nigeria in June 2010
In October 2010, Pan Ocean in its bid to support government’s venture of boosting power supply and as a fulfilment of the GSAA, became the first company under the GSAA to supply gas to the Egbin power station.
In addition, the corporation has expanded its business with the construction of the 67km Amukpe Escravos pipeline project; making Pan Ocean the first indigenous producing oil and Gas Company to embark on such a major pipeline system project.
As part of its strategic growth initiative, Pan Ocean acquired the Oil Prospecting License 275 during the 2008 bid round and signed a Production Sharing Contract (PSC) with the NNPC on Oil Prospecting License (OPL) 275. After a successful drilling campaign and the discovery of huge oil and gas reserves, OPL 275 was converted to Oil Mining License (OML) 147.
Pan Ocean is close to completing Phase II of the Ogharefe-Ovade Gas Plant Project. The completion date of this project is fourth quarter of 2018. With a processing capacity of 250mscf of Gas per day including the production of liquid, propane, butane and LPG, the gas plant will be the first of its kind in Nigeria
Other on-going projects namely Amukpe Escravos Pipeline Project (AEPP) and Early Production Facility (EPF) for OML 147 are scheduled to reach completion and be commissioned before the end of 2018.

Personal Life

As an astute technocrat and business strategist, he has acquired vast experience in the oil and gas industry through several years of active participation in diverse areas of the industry. Dr. Festus Alani Fadeyi is a man with deep Christian convictions and a quiet philanthropist who has helped several social causes. He is happily married with children and grandchildren.

Early life
Dr Fadeyi obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting in 1970 from California State University, Pomona California U.S.A. In 1971, he achieved two milestones in his academic pursuit; firstly, an MBA in Behavioural Sciences from Pepperdine University Los Angeles, California and secondly he became a Certified Public Accountant. Dr Fadeyi returned to Nigeria in 1973 after acquiring a PhD in Business Administration from University of Southern California, Los Angeles. While in the United States, Dr Fadeyi achieved quick success in the manufacturing and retail industries; however on his return to Nigeria, he moved on to understudy the oil and gas industry by first joining an oil services company and subsequently joining Pan ocean Oil Corporation (Nigeria) Limited in 1974. This singular move launched the presence of Dr. Festus Fadeyi in the oil industry and he has since then been at the helm of affairs- guiding and leading the company’s operational activities.
